Hospitality and Culinary Experiences

Located in Taipei City, Taiwan Hotel Proverbs is situated in the Da’an District, just steps from the famous Liaoning Night Market. The Da’an District is a great choice for travelers interested in city trips, gourmet food and cultural adventures, and everything seemed like a quick walk or Uber ride away.
All 42 rooms at the Hotel Proverbs have balconies and feature standalone bathtubs outside the glass-paned bathrooms. Rich with warm walnut wood, copper, and leather clen max accents, guests will enjoy classic yet contemporary luxury in an industrial style. Built on an historic site that used to house a system of irrigation canals called “Liugongjun,” the surrounding area near Da’an Road is now one of Taipei’s most trendy and fashionable.
Matching it’s high level of customer service, there was a “steampunk luxe” character to the design. Renowned Taipei-based designer Ray Chen designed the hotel, taking his inspiration from the 19th-century Los Proverbios prints by Spanish artist Francisco Goya. The copper-plated walls, natural woods and dark metals that are used throughout the building really stood out to me, while Austrian crystal chandeliers and floor-to-ceiling mirrors give the space a polished finish. It’s an eclectic mix of industrial bleakness and a 1900s glam — but everything balances out surprisingly well.
